Customer Reviews

i'd definitely recommend this to anyone into folk accoustic things, ranging from sufjan stevens to iron & wine. i wouldn't call this 'country' as itunes did, but i dunno. several of the songs are completely beautiful and live up to the expectations we all had from the AMAZING The Sun Is Melting. Definitely give it a try; you'll either be overwhelmed by the beauty or fall asleep to it. Either way sounds pretty neat though, i must say.

Well crafted

I really enjoyed The Sun Is Melting, and was actually happy when I heard this album in entirety for the first time and heard "new" sounds not present on the first album. The songwriting has definitely progressed. I can't pinpoint a favorite just yet, give it a few more spins on my ipod during my commute and I'll let you know! But I recommend this for anyone that likes well crafted acoustic or folk music.

First Review

The Colorful Quiet is easily comparable to Iron & Wine with his acoustic guitar and whispery singing. Nonetheless, this album puts me in my happy place. I listen to this before I go to bed and when I like to think about everything. It's a great album, and I recommend it to any Iron & Wine fan. I think this album has more of a country sound than the first album (hence the name). Just buy it and see for yourself.
