another gem

so many years lapsed between the time Field Day came out and this record. I was really bumed and thought that the band was over. I honestly didn't care if Shawn, Peter, or Dave was singing, I was just dying for some new tunes from this band because I had already decided that they were my all time fav's at the time. I was always a regular at local record stores, and I would always go to the "D" section to see if there was anything new from Dag Nasty in the bin. I did this for years.... I'd stop in and out of all sorts of record stores and usually wouldn't see anything because the store jsut didn't carry them at all, and if they did, it was always one of the older records that I already had. Then one day, I wandered into some cool little record store on the boardwalk of Mission Beach in San Diego. Low and behold, Four on the Floor was sitting there. I damn near shyt myself! I seriously thought it was some new group that just happened to have the same name until I saw the lil design from Wig Out on the cover. I bought it immediately!!! I raced home to play it and at first listen, I wasn't sure what to think. I was used to hearing Peter on the previous 2 records and had to get back into Dave mode. It grew on me like no cd ever has and to this day it still blows me away!!! Amazing cd!!! Amazing band!!!!

really weird! LOVE IT,

When is the "Field Day" record available? I am currently in bed with a bad back and am certain that I like that one also this record sounds okay. There is a rolled up dollar bill on the record cover which means "toot toot" I wonder why they had them singers. all them so many singers. yay!!! Go Nasty!

Dag Nasty kept roaring D.C.-styled hardcore alive during the mid-'80s. Although the group was more accessible and melodic than Minor Threat, it never lost its bracing, blistering edge. Formed by former Minor Threat and Meatmen guitarist Brian Baker and ex-DYS vocalist Dave Smalley, Dag Nasty recorded their first album, Can I Say (1986), with D.C.-punk guru Ian MacKaye assisting on the production. The following year, Smalley left the group; he was replaced by Peter Cortner, who added more pop elements...
