Jeffrey Steele's "first" shot...

Many don't know this, but songwriter extraordinaire Jeffrey Steele fronted this band, who many considered just another Nashpop band. A Cowboy's Born with a Broken Heart is one of the best country power ballads ever and was one of the few hits these guys had. Jeffrey now of course is on Nashville Star as a judge, and has written or co-written pretty much any song you've heard in the last 5 years (or so it seems). Fans of Trace, Rascall Flatts, Tim McGraw, and more, would do well to go find all of Jeffrey's cd's on ITunes, as well as the Boy Howdy efforts. The master had a beginning too!

Boy Howdy was a contemporary country-rock band who formed in Los Angeles in 1990. Their primary influence was Little Texas, though one could catch bits of the Eagles and CCR in their sound, and they frequently covered classic rock tunes as well.
