iTunes Review

A new group that unites Christian rappers PRo, Chad Jones, Canon, and Tony Tillman (previously known as Brothatone), RMG takes four emcees from four different places (Chicago, Tennessee, Arkansas, Michigan) and brings them together for a sort of holy hip-hop supergroup. Released via their own label (Reflection Music Group), Welcome to the Family sounds like most modern-day commercial rap (skittering post-crunk snares, busy synth lines, chanted/sung hooks, Auto-Tune post-production, etc.) but with a heavy emphasis on living right and unwavering faith in the Lord. It's sprinkled with guest appearances from ZG, eYe-Q, Tiya, Natalie Villa, and Tiffany Michelle. Check out "Geeked Up," "Paparazzi," the technology-questioning "Does Not Compute," and the guitar-laced "Somebody to Love."

Customer Reviews

I really wanted to like this album...

1. These guys devote their message to the Gospel of Jesus Christ
2. Canon. Been a huge fan ever since i first heard him on the Lecrae song "Blow Your High"

-The beats were just...quirky. and not in a catchy way like "Dum Dum"
-The chopped hooks got old. fast. really fast.
-The beats were so distracting i sould hardly pay attention to the lyrics first time around
-Having every song have a similar pattern. When every member of the group gets one verse per song every song, songs get very repetative

I really am bummed out about this album. I had such high hopes...

To Christ be the glory

Probably the most anticipated album for me personally. Haven't listened through everything yet but so good so far. Some of these guys best lyrics and beats to date

Been waiting for weeks for this album to drop and it does NOT disappoint! R.M.G. keep up the great work! God is definitely glorified through these guys!
