The draft's still going strong

I was curious how well the Draft woud hold out after the greatness of fheir first CD but it's great to see that they're still keeping their sound fresh while still being all of the godness of the Draft. The 2 songs are well worth the price.

Good, not great.

Thus far, I've loved the Draft's output. "In a Million Pieces" was great, and the EP released after that was amazing. However, I feel that this doesn't measure up as well as it should to their previous releases. Wollard's singing sounds a little off, and the music sounds a little frantic and frankly a little sloppy. The songs are still good, but they're just not as tight as the other things that this band has done, and has the potential to do.

When Hot Water Music went on hiatus in May 2005 because Chuck Ragan wanted to pursue other interests (the band officially ended a year later), the remaining members — bassist Jason Black, drummer George Rebelo, and singer/guitarist Chris Wollard — weren't quite ready to just sit around idly.
