I love this ep so much. Their music is electrifying and you can't get those type of sounds anywhere else. Love love love it

They Keep Getting Better and Better

This ep really showcases a band maturing at a rapid pace. The songs are still pop and still fun, but both musically and lyrically everything has been ratcheted up a couple of notches. This whole ep is great, but the emotional high point is Turning Out, in which the question of whether we ever really “grow up” is pondered to devastating effect. I hope this is the collection of songs that will bring AJR to an even wider audience.

Formed in 2005, New York City-based indie pop trio AJR mix barbershop harmonies, electronic music, and other styles into their eclectic sound. AJR feature the talents of the Met brothers, Adam (vocals/bass), Jack (vocals/guitar), and Ryan (guitar/piano/vocals), who grew up in New York and got their start busking around the city, covering songs by such bands as Fun., Vampire Weekend, and the Beach Boys.
