This is NOT the Jesse Johnson from The Time

I realized that from the cover, but even more so this guy sounds more like a folk/pop singer, like a John Meyer type. iTunes got this guy mixed up. If you're looking for The Time's Jesse Johnson, this isn't for you.

buy this album!

I saw Jesse play live at a bar in NYC, and bought his album right from him. I have no idea why he's not a big star already! If you like Jason Mraz but want a bit of a harder sound and enjoy funk, this is for you.

Next Big Star!

This guy rocks! If you think the album is good you should see him live! I heard he played every instrument on the album.

Illinois-born funk/soul guitarist Jesse Johnson began playing guitar when he was 15, honing his chops in local rock bands throughout his teens and early twenties. On a friend's recommendation, he moved to Minneapolis, MN, where he became the lead guitarist and a primary songwriter for the city's extraordinairy funk-rock group, the Time.
