Expecting to Fly?

This review is out only based upon the first track "For What it's Worth" that has been released on iTunes. This album is important for anyone to have in their music library. Period. That said, the "(Remastered)" track of "For What it's Worth" is overly compressed (like a squeezed marshmallow filling within a cookie). Sadly, the original raw energy and power from the 1960s are missing. Yes, by today's standards it will probably be fine and it will introduce newer listeners to bedrock classic rock sounds that influenced many, many musicians and spawned much solid musical creativity. This one sits alongside of the special remastering of Sgt. Peppers. It's for those who don't care about authenticity.

Stop Messing With The Original Feel

I agree with "Expecting To Fly?", it's far too comperessed and the energy of the original sound is like it was run through a dryer with way too much fabric softener.

This was hugely influential music...the public deserves to feel it like it was.
