Album Review

The first official releases by the Three O'Clock are collected together here. Baroque Hoedown (originally a 12" EP) from 1982 is paired with Sixteen Tambourines from 1983. This is a good way to check out this important band from the paisley underground.

Customer Reviews

One of my favorite bands of all time!

Amazing to find this re-release which combines Baroque Hoedown, the band's EP, with their first full-length album, Sixteen Tambourines. And for $9.99! Gorgeous harmonizing, Danny Benair's solid drumming, and jangly guitars...what's not to love?

Great American Pop !

The 3 O'Clock were by far, one of the finest alternative pop bands to emerge from the U.S. during th early 80's. Like their fellow pop
performers, The Beat,The Shoes, The DB's and The Barracudas, they brought a fresh, upbeat sensibility to their music Yes, that's a farsifa organ you are hearing in the background, pre-dating the Mad-Chester sound of Northern England, but there is some great
guitars and horns lurking nearby to blow you away sonically !

This iTunes selection is a great introduction to the band. Put the convertible top down, grab your sweetheart and cruise on down the
road singing your heads off to 'Jet Fighter ' and let the fun begin.

Beginning as the Salvation Army in 1982 as a three-piece and forsaking the name due to a conflict with the actual organization,...
