The Kingsmen mix white Southern gospel with a hint of country music, and featuring great lead singers like Jim Hamill and the late Eldridge Fox, they've had eight songs go to number one on the gospel charts, including the humorous (but serious in intent) "Excuses." That song is included here, along with other Kingsmen hits, making this a nice introduction to the group.

It is about time for these classics to reappear! My tapes are wearing out and there is nothing like the oldies but goodies. My FAVORITE quartet!

Does anyone know?

I love these old time songs, and I always will. I hope there will be a revival of these in my generation. By the way, does anyone know which recording version of The Glory Road this is? Cause I want to know if my father was in this one. He filled in for the pianist one concert.
