I love Frank Wildhorn, easily my favorite composer of musicals today. That is why I bought this album without ever having heard the music before. I can listen to it cover to cover. I would highly recommend the download, especially if you love The Scarlet Pimpernell or Jekyll and Hyde.
Jekyll and Hyde Meets the Scarlet Pimpernel in a Touching Way
This musical isn't as action-packed as Jekyll and Hyde or the Scarlet Pimpernel - (not even Dracula). But Frank Wildhorn brings these two types of musical styles together to bring this beautiful musical. The songs might not be memorable at first but as you listen to them, they really move you.
Perfect in every way!
Once again Frank Wildhorn exceeded my highest expectations of him!
So I LOVED The Scarlet Pimpernel, and before listening to this thought there was no way Wildhorn recreate music of the same caliber of his previous TSP... Boy was I wrong! He did even better on this one by than TSP!
Con: the only pity is that there is only a "highlight" version rather than the entire musical.
