Outstanding live performance.

This is a very tight set of songs and the only place I know of where you can buy the long out of print Mitch Ryder version of Prince's "When You Were Mine". I search for this song regularly in hopes that the original recording will appear on iTunes but so far I've had no luck. This live version definitely works. The voice is a little grittier but in my opinion that just makes it better. The rest of the set is just as good and I recommend you give these songs a listen. Great things going on inside this album.

The Godfather of Soul Rock

Ryder has been amazingly successful in Europe leaving his American fans yearning for imported product. Thankfully Live Bonn 2008 is representative of what this legend can still deliver. For those who remember Mitch's masterpiece "Never Kick a Sleeping Dog" (When are you going to offer this, iTunes???), this live recording offers in spades. Wanna hear real Detroit music? Forget the posers. Dig this!

Great live set!
