Mark and Travis are back with another great song!

This is a great song. for those of you that dont know why blink-182(the best band ever) broke up it is because of Tom, he started to get full of himself and left the band to make Angles and airwaves (witch is another great band) +44 however is alot more like Blink-182 the Angles and airwaves. The lyrics in +44 songs are amazing, I recommend that anyone who liked Blink-182 buy this song and the cd when it comes out, you will not be disappointed.

Quick history of Plus 44

When Tome broke Blink up, Mark and Travis just didn't sit down and say "our music carrer is over". They sat down in Marks dining room and Travis' basment and made one of the most albums ever. Combining with Shane Gallagher and Craig Fairbaugh, Mark and Travis set out to make something that wasn't Blink, wasn't Transplants, and wasn't Boxcar Racer. And what they made can be called synthrock mixed with pop punk. The slow songs on the album are just amazing "Make You Smile" is amazingly sad, but the drums are amazing. This songs (When Your Heart Stops Beating) is the first single from the album "When Your Heart Stops Beating" whitch will be released on Nov. the 14th. The album will include 11 songs (including this one). Just as an added note (not that you care) im going to see +44 in Atlanta on november the 10th whitch will be amazing. (sorry for miss spellings)

"Well, I Guess This Is Growing Up"

After the disappointment of Angels and Airwaves, I was kind of hesitant to hear what (+44) had to offer. And then, I just so happened to do so. I will say this: they're better than AVA. And yet, there's just something not right here. The song (or, if you have found the other two or been to the show, songs) are good. They're like blink--and yes, I know that Mark and Travis are in this band, so that there would obviously be a blink influence, but that's not my point. Maybe a little too much like blink. (+44) seems to follow the direction of blink's eponymous, and final album. It's more mature, and different from what blink fans are used to hearing Mark sing about (although, the expletives are still intact, I'm happy to note). The song itself is catchy, the hooks are good, and to be honest just plain good. Yet, I was hoping for a little more than a mature blink-182 with no Tom (I guess that's where AVA gets points), and I'm slightly disappointed that this song was chosen as the first single. "Lycanthrope" beats it by a mile. But, this is only the first single, and I can't really make a judgement until I've heard the entire album. I guess the single did its job: I'm intrigued, and will definitely be buying the album when it comes out.

Biography

Formed: Los Angeles, CA

Genre: Alternative

Years Active: '00s

Forming during pop-punk trio blink-182's 2005 hiatus, +44 brought blink alums Travis Barker (drums) and Mark Hoppus (vocals/bass) back together as their former bandmate Tom DeLonge went off to form his own band, Angels and Airwaves. Originally billed as a largely electronic-based project, their songs eventually fell instead under the alternative rock umbrella; their name came from the international dialing code to the United Kingdom, where the duo first discussed doing the project. The two initially...
