Yet again, UNITED bring together a collection of bland Indie-pop/electronic-inspired Christian rock songs that fail to keep my attention. But there are small moments of more experimentation where UNITED toy with new, more interesting sounds than they usually lend themselves to. Many tracks have the same sonic qualities, and there is always a fat layer of reverb slathered on every vocal cut by default. The Hosanna remix has a very awkward section where there are just snippets of the vocal melodies played through by themselves in a very distasteful manner, that kind of made me cringe. The song"Where Feet May Fail" is my favorite, with a pretty basic quarter note electronic snare and kick drum playing over these chopped up vocals (in some parts) and pitch-shifted (in some parts), chill, sour synths, and an overall nice dance and indie pop-esque vibe. It's pretty catchy. While UNITED is dipping their feet in some new water (exploring more dance oriented music and dub/brostep) the execution is ultimately boring, in many moments awkward, and unsatisfying. There are just so many lackluster tracks that did get enough attention from the team and followed the same formula of taking the vocal parts and shoving them into a new, more dance-y instrumental without much creative manipulation or thought. But then again, this is just my O-P-I-N-I-O-N.
