Album Review

Paul Thorn's second album Ain't Love Strange features more of the singer/songwriter's quirky, confessional, roots-based songs, including "Liberace & Fabio," "Where Was I," "Burn down the Trailer Park," "Help Me out, Hook Me Up," and "That's All I Know Right Now." While it may not have the immediate impact of his debut Hammer & Nail, Ain't Love Strange is another worthwhile effort from Thorn.

Customer Reviews

Another great effort

Paul Thorn's "Ain't Love Strange" is a wonderfully entertaining piece of work. While several of the songs like the title cut, "Fabio and Liberace" and "Burn Down the Trailer Park" are simply fun, songs like "Where Was I", "I Have A Good Day," and "What Do You Take Me 4" offer a deeper look into the skill and depth Thorn offers in crafting a song. If you like Paul's debut collection titled "Hammer and Nail" you will enjoy this as well.

A Must Have Album

This is one of my most treasured alums. Paul's music is so geniune and true that it touches that soul of every man that has ever lived, loved, and lost. He is a truely gifted musician. This album is worth it's weight in gold.

Why isn't more music like this?

Ever since I first heard Paul Thorn in a theology class (800 Pound Jesus) and saw him in concert, he has been at the top of my greatest list. This album is just great. From "Burn Down the Trailer Park" to "Fabio & Liberace" to "Ain't Love Strange" his sound is unique, fun, ego-less, and fantastic. His voice is at its best on "Where Was I?" He can make you dance around the room while singing about his cheating girlfriend... Ain't Love Strange?
