FINALLY!!!

I can't believe it's available on iTunes! This album is amazing. "Wherever You Are" and "Liar" are my favorite songs by ONE OK ROCK, and they're both on this album. Definitely worth the buy! (The whole album is fantastic!) If you're into Japanese Punk/Rock, this band and album will NOT disappoint you!

ONE OK ROCK at their best!!

The band's third album "Kanjou Effect" released in Japan on November 2008. But in May 2009, OOR's lead guitarist Alex left the band (note: google/wiki it, if you're interested). Alex's "incident" really shook the band (their next single was canned at the last minute, and a nationwide tour was cancelled). At the time, I was really bummed out about Alex's departure and was unsure how the band would sound without him. I was skeptical, but continued to support the band. ONE OK ROCK decided they would continue on without him. And… I'm so glad they did. In fact, in some ways Alex's departure wasn't even a bad thing. Just as they broke ground with "Kanjou Effect," they went on to do much, much more with "Niche Syndrome". They changed their style just a bit with this album, which ultimately became their signature sound, but in all the right ways. The vibe of the album feels a bit raw compared to "Kanjou Effect" but that's a great thing for sure. Words can't truly explain how awesome this album is, you really just gotta listen to it for yourself.

If you're a fan of J-rock, or just rock music, in general, then you owe it to yourself to give this album a listen. There are no filler tracks on this album either. It truly transcends the limits of culture and language barriers, with its raw energy and passion, and signifies what rock music is all about. "Niche Syndrome" is not just ONE OK ROCK at their best, it's rock music at its finest.
