A bit of a let-down

I was so excited when I found this album. I love Stellar's "Mix" album, and was eager to listen to more. However, I downloaded the album and wasn't all that impressed. I was disappointed with the rambling lyrics and pop sound in contrast to the edgy alternative sound from before. This a much softer, more romantic album, but I'm finding the songs still get stuck in my head! I like "Whiplash" and "7 Miles High", but I'm not sure if was worth buying the whole album to find them.

New Zealand quartet Stellar* is comprised of singer/songwriter and guitarist Boh Runga (sister of Bic), Chris van der Geer (guitar), Kurt Shanks (bass), and drummer Andrew Maclaren. First single "Happy Gun" appeared in 1996 on independent label Papa Pacifica.
