Once Upon a Dream

Anael has done it again... I was inspired when I heard it. This beautifully recorded album is a treasure of truly great songs and performances. It's hard to categorize the genre, because Anael seems to speak to all genres and people. I have her earlier albums, and it's difficult to pick a favorite, because they all contribute something special to today's music. Her voice is like silk and has a resonance that touches us deeply. The lyrics fit her voice and her essence. The music and instrumentation is absolutely brilliant and compliments her sound perfectly. Her message is universal - and quite needed these days. This CD is simply - "healing"... Evidently, a lot of thought and effort has gone into yet another masterpiece from Anael. Yet, to us all, it sounds effortless, as usual. A must for one's New age collection, or better yet, to a collection of classics. Check this gem out, and you will play it over and over again...

You could be forgiven for thinking from time to time that you purchased the latest music from Enya. Relaxing tunes nevertheless and perfect for those cold and dark evenings ahead.

If you enjoy sitting next to a warm fire and listining to relaxing music, Once Upon a Dream is a album for you. Anael's music is just as relaxing as Enya. Leaving a warm feeling inside.

Still, most of her material is penned in the present day by her collaborator Bradfield, who generally handles composition, arrangements, instruments, and production on her recordings. Born and raised in Saguenay,...
