Album Review

Unexpectedly, Texas became a popular sensation prior to the release of White on Blonde when Chris Evans made the soulful single "Say What You Want" the de facto theme song on his morning program on Radio 1. On the strength of his support, Texas was catapulted to previously unthinkable success, and the majority of the fans who thought the number one single was fine shouldn't have been disappointed with the full-length album. A combination of roots-rock and soul, White on Blonde occasionally has more style than substance, but Sharleen Spiteri's gorgeous vocals and the band's professionalism make the record a charming, ingratiating listen.

White On Blonde

"Put Your Arms Around Me" is such a beautiful song. I would buy that song above all others even they they're good too. It was actually featured on EVer After, a Cinderella story starring Drew Barrymore. That movie is amazing! Drew is a great actress and the guy was hot.

I Don't Understand

I have always been a huge fan of Texas. I am so surprized that they are as little known as this in America. If anyone has stumbled upon this album, I highly reccomend it. All songs are unique and never get old or boring. This is the definition of good music. The whole album is amazing. The music is powerful and classy. I wish there were more bands around like Texas.

One of my favorites

This is a great band and a great album. It is a shame that Texas is not very well known in the states. Sharleen's voice is amazing. I bought this album after hearing Say What You Want in the movie Picture Perfect. I have gotten all of their albums since. Hush, Careful What You Wish For, and RedBook are also really great. Standout songs on this album are Say What You Want, Halo, and Black Eyed Boy. Put Your Arms Around Me is also nice and full of emotion.
