Album Review

Whitesnake's Greatest Hits collects the cream of the band's later '80s efforts, gathering most of its material from Slide It In, Whitesnake, and Slip of the Tongue. Bigger fans will find worthwhile album tracks on the former two efforts, but this collection of Zeppelin-ish rock anthems and hooky power ballads are all most fans will need.

Fool For Buying this Album

Don't get this one because it doesn't feature the perfect and complete set. The remix version of Here I Go Again is so wimpy. Buy the other greatest hits collection.

A collection of "Greatest Hits"

Im just a casual Whitesnake fan, and I always enjoy this cd. Its a good collectioon of their greatest hits, and thats just what I wanted. If you are the hardcore fan, its no wonder you might not rate this very highly - so what if they're the "popular" songs? Its a collection of GREATEST HITS, not your personal favorite songs. Get this if you want a taste of Whitesnake, but if you want to go deeper, ask the recommendation of a hardcore fan and go for their more definitive albums.

During 1982, Coverdale took some time off so he could take care of his sick daughter. When he re-emerged with a new version of Whitesnake in 1984, the band sounded revitalized and energetic. Slide It In may have relied on...
