Album Review

Watermark, composed of husband and wife duo Nathan and Christy Nockels, released their sophomore project, All Things New, in 2000. Due to the outburst in praise and worship albums in the Christian music market beginning in 1998, All Things New could not have been released at a more perfect time. Issued by Rocketown Records, the album is acoustic praise and worship blended with CCM. The ten tracks, penned by the duo, offer upbeat guitar rhythms and gentler, more intimate guitar melodies. Songs range from the project's first radio single, "More Than You'll Ever Know," a song celebrating the joys of friendship, to "Glory Baby," which deals with the pain of a miscarriage and God's comfort in grief. Overall, All Things New is an uplifting, upbeat, and inspiring release, both musically and lyrically.

Thank God 4 them!

My bff just suffered a miscarriage an i sent her the song "glory baby" It was a huge comfort

more than you'll ever know...

It's more than just the meaningful words, it's more than the impressive musicianship, it's more than the music which ranges from ethereal to pop/funk (funky enough to make you want to dance)'s the combination of all of the above. The total package can lift you up to such a connection with God as to reach real WORSHIP. I have used this CD and "Watermark" (previous) time and time again over the last 7 years during times in my life that were almost overwhelmingly stressful. During the times when I was the most anxious/stressed were also times that I had to experience prolonged sleep deprivation and had no time to go to church or even have enough quiet time to attain the peace that I needed. My need of THIS music to help me to reach the peace I needed to get through those rough times is actually why I bought my be able to take it, and tangible experience with God that it brings me, with me. I thank God for Watermark.

Highly Moving Album

Another beautiful, touching, moving album by Watermark, giving the glory to Him, and directing your focus on Him, and the destiny of Heaven! I feel their sound is not pulled any certain direction to any certain extreme, and could reach most people's hearts, and be enjoyed by many people's ears. The song "My Heart, Your Home" really is not that known, but is so moving to me.

CCM duo Watermark comprised the husband-and-wife duo of Nathan and Christy Nockles; originally dubbed Watershed, they built a strong cult following in their native Houston before earning national recognition in 1998 opening for Point of Grace. Upon renaming themselves Watermark and signing to Rocketown, the duo issued their self-titled debut in the fall of 1998; the LP was reissued early the following year on Epic. The acoustic-based All Things New arrived in mid-2000. Watermark spent the next two...
