Long Forgotten Classic

I bought this album only on the basis that songwriter Holly Knight was a part of this project. I love Knight's songwriting and she has turned out some major hits for big name artists, "Ragdoll" for Aerosmith, "Love Is A Battlefield" for Pat Benatar and "Better Be Good To Me" for Tina Turner just to name a few. She writes tunes that are honest, fun and from the heart. Holly teams up with guitarist Gene Black and singer Paul Engemann to form a rock/pop group that should have stuck around.

This album for me is the 80's at its best. Good music with lyrics that make their mark on you. One of the few albums I can listen all the way through and don't tire of it. It's also one album that I always hear something different with each listen. Great to sing along to as well. My favorite songs are "I've Got Not Room for Your Love" which I think should have been a single, "Who Says" and "Sand, Stone, Cobwebs and Dust"

Give this album a chance to drum up good memories and tunes that will make you listen to the music over and over again. :)

I loved this CD from the fist time I heard it in the 80's. Device will always be one of my all time favorites. A must for anyone who loves 80's music or just good music in general.

Best album of the 80's you've never heard!!

This is such a great album. Glad to finally see it on itunes!

Years Active: '00s

Mixing huge, aggressive guitars with pulsing synths and pounding beats, Device's sound is reminiscent of acts like Nine Inch Nails and Die Krupps, adding electronic and dance elements to their sound without ever forgetting that, at their core, they're a rock band....
