Felix's keyboards are a little lost though. Guy's drums and Randy's vocal are at the forefront. They just don't make'em like this anymore

Pass on this unless you are a real Zebra Fan who wants everything they ever did.

The problem is these aren't even as good as the live versions that were doing in the clubs around Long Island at night while recording this.

Zebra Live is a must for anyone new to this band as they sounded far better than this live. I have never heard Randy's voice so thin as this recording. The guitar playing is also a little weak as well. Zebra's debut called "Zebra" is a must as is all their studio albums, but is you really want to see what it was like to hear them in a small club back in the days of this recording just get "Zebra Live"

This is the version that was released on the now-infamous WBAB homegrown album. Every rock fan on Long Island in 1983 had that album and this was Zebra's contribution. If you listened to WBAB in the early 1980s (and who on LI did not) this was the one that was requested almost every morning when the last person to answer the Question of the day was asked "and what band can I play for you?"

Formed: 1976 in Long Island, NY

Genre: Rock

Years Active: '80s

Zebra's confident self-titled debut went gold, thanks to the air play of excellent singles "Tell Me What You Want" and "Who's Behind the Door." Vet producer Jack Douglas (Aerosmith, Cheap Trick) also helmed the follow-up, No Tellin' Lies. Not as strong or cohesive as the first effort, Lies fell directly into the delete bins....
