With the exception of Oakland O.G. Too Short, Suga Free is arguably one of the best and most consistent rappers in the game today. After coming up under the wing of Compton's DJ Quik (who put him on several records before producing his debut album, Street Gospel, in 1997), Pomona panderer Suga Free has been dropping his unique blend of throwback smoothness, over-the-top comedy, streetwise cool, and shameless misogyny for more than 15 years now. Why U Still BullSh*ttin? sports a dozen of his best songs culled from six albums, plus two brand new joints ("Sh*t Yeah" and "B*tch"). As expected, the production is immaculately funky, while Suga Free's down-and-dirty storytelling verses come off like the perfect fusion of Iceburg Slim and Blowfly. With choice, unquotable lines, he stays on point on every track. Don't miss "If U Stay Ready," "On My Way," and "I'd Rather Give You My B*tch."
