Hey Art, I think your amazing. You showed me how great Jimmy Webb is. When I hear Skywriter I can feel my spirit soar. And I don't care if I ever do come back to earth. I get it. Thank you for music, and for stirring my soul.

My Favorite Art Garfunkel Release.

You would think from the title that this is a collection of songs from his previous releases. But I think some of these songs are new for this album: It's All In The Game, Two Sleepy People, Why Worry, and I think Crying in the Rain. Whoa, those 4 songs are truly fabulous. Note the James Taylor duet on Crying in the Rain. Note JT playing guitar on It's All in the Game. What a recording. And note the Beach Boys-like ending to Why Worry. What a wonderful song.

Art is the voice

Art was always the better voice of Simon and Garfunkel. I always felt Paul was a weak singer but a musical genius. It is Art who can really sing a song and sell it with poignancy, feeling, and exquisite clarity. His stunning tenor voice is haunting. The short "Just Over the Brooklyn Bridge", which was the theme of the TV show of the same name, touches my soul with its evocation of a time long gone but cherished by so many.
