Editors’ Notes

Aldean has a way of making words stick, whether it’s the interlocking chorus of “This I Gotta See”—"front porch, iced tea, sweat shirt, bare feet"—or “Keep the Girl,” which illustrates a romantic Catch-22 with the image of a double-edged blade. In “Crazy Town,” he calls Nashville “Hollywood with a touch of twang” and then notes that “love it or hate it, we’re all just trying to make it.”

This album is great! Every song has meaningful and valuable lyrics and Jason Aldean sings them perfectly. The thing that is so great about it all is that the CD gets better and better the more you listen to it. I recommend not buying just one, two, or three tracks, but buying the entire album.
