This is a lovely, subtle album that sneaks up on you. At first, I found it to be a great "soundtrack" album, to put on and enjoy the background -- yet as the songs seep into you, you catch lyrics, melodies and harmonies that beg for direct attention. My favorites are "Wild Soul", "The Hardest Part" and "Maybe for a Minute". Casey's voice and attention to production detail are worthy of acclaim and worth your iTunes dollars. :)

Another great CD from Casey. he works keeps getting stronger & stronger. Divide, still not my favorite disc, is beautiful in it's own right. Divide 2 is the better disc

Okay - I'm not a huge fan of Casey's yet - I don't dislike the guy. Actually I really like his "out" approach to his career and I definetly think he's got some amazing talent - But that vibe of Tori Amos won't seem to shake and it doesn't work. It's aggrivating to hear someone sound like someone else - when the person you're listening too has just as valid an approach to music. I think his lyrics are great and he can crank out a pretty song - that's for sure. I'm so 50/50!! Maybe I should invite him to some Burning Man journey and have some life-changing expieriance or drop him in the arctic for a month alone and see what he comes up with that's really his own. He holds back on his talent but this album is not a dissapointment and he's SOOO much better then alot of gay artists already out there (Semi Precious Weapons? EWWwww - Now that is LAME on a stick.) - Vote Casey!
