Missed the boat...again

Once again, Mike Ammot proves he can tremolo pick through an entire song. I was hoping that Jeff Loomis would breathe some life back into this band, couldn't believe it when I read that Loomis has no song writing duties on the entire album. Wasted talent, in my opinion.

Anyone but Michael Amott should write lyrics

While there's definite hints and even full parts of songs that show the greatness of Arch Enemy, but Michael Amott's controlling way of running the band rears its ugly head on this album, as the lack of songwriting from newcomer and fellow guitar hero Jeff Loomis is a missed opportunity in terms of new guitar melodies and harmonies and solo brilliance. But worst of all, are the horrible lyrics from Amott. I understand AE's lyrics are anarchy and anthemic, but for some reason his lyrics are so generic mixed with power metal cheese, it's embarrassing. A sadly missed opportunity. Someone else (Alissa White Glutz or Jeff Loomis) should take over more of the writing department from now on.

Haters gonna hate

Don't listen to these newbies leaving reviews on a band that they know absolutely nothing about. Stick with gimmick bands like Slipknot and Korn, kiddies.
I've been a fan since the beginning. Arch Enemy have yet to disappoint me. These guys are the Kings of Melodic Death Metal!!
