Editors’ Notes

On her third album, Danish electro-pop singer Nanna Oland Fabricus (d.b.a. Oh Land) further explores a style of twitchy dance music. It's largely produced by TV on the Radio’s David Sitek, whose label releases these artful excursions. A number of cowriters and collaborators helped further unlock her bewitching talents, which arguably work best on the more sedate numbers such as “Cherry on Top” and the self-produced “3 Chances.” London-based producer Dan Carey—whose other productions include Emiliana Torrini, Bloc Party, and The Kills—throws himself behind the repetitive hip-hop of “My Boxer,” while producer and writer Grant “WNDRBRD” Michaels twirls knobs for the Sia Furler cowrite “Green Card.” The consistent shuffling of the producer deck lets Ms. Oh Land cover more musical territory, throwing work to Phantom Planet bassist Sam Farrar (for a cowrite on the slightly awry closer, “First to Say Goodbye”) and to often-overlooked A-list singer/songwriter David Poe (for the acoustic and heartfelt “Love You Better”).

It's nearly out

I've been a fan since 2011 and I'm exited for Oh Lands new album, I already listened to the preview online and it sounds good. Im not a big fan of Pop but i like oh land's music, personally from what I've heard I prefer her self titled album, and I'm not a big fan of Cherry on top, but I like Bird in an Aeroplane and Rennaisance Girls a lot. I love the song first to say goodnight the lyrics are awesome. Good Job

Pretty Pretty

Regardless of your taste in music, Oh Land is like a landscape painting - you can never go wrong having it around, and if you stop and pay attention you'll be stuck for hours. I love the upbeat sound she perfected on her last album coming back in songs like "Renaissance Girls" and "Love a Man Dead", but it wasn't until this album that I truly realized how fragile and beautiful she can be as well. "3 Chances" and "Love You Better" are sure to melt your heart. The rest of the album rounds out well and keeps that je ne sais quoi Oh Land sound intact.

Musical Bliss

This Album really does have something for everyone. It's catchy, meaningful, and an all around great buy. She's one of the few artist out there who really care for their work and cherish everything they make. Wish Bone is a must buy, I recommend it to anyone.

Before an injury put an end to her dancing career, Nanna Øland Fabricius studied with the Royal Swedish Ballet as a teenager. Permanently sidelined by a fractured disk in her spine, she turned her focus to music instead. Fabricius had been raised in the outskirts of Copenhagen, Denmark, by a particularly musical set of parents -- her mother sang opera, while her father composed classical music -- but she took a different approach to her own songwriting, which drew heavily from dance-pop, R&B, and...
