They're Not on Fire but They're Smokin Hot

This is one of the best Indie albums in my collection. Between "The Difference" and "McLusky Do Dallas", you have some of the finest mix of punk, alternative, rusty metal, and catchy riffs, all made by a Welsh trio that unfortunately disbanded and left us wondering how they would have progessed. On top of that, superb lyrics, crazy song titles, and just an all around crazy smash of fun jams. I don't think it's possible there's another band out there quite like these guys, and if there are, they can't possibly be as good.

Certainly the darkest McLusky release

This album mauls you with mean-as-hell guitar distortion while war-march style drumming summons out the blood thirsty gorilla that lays evolutionarily dormant in the core of every man. One of the best albums to listen to if pissed off, and if you’re not, it’ll make you pissed-off. If I had any complaint, it’d have to be the two or three brief moments in the album where the feeling of ferocity is interrupted by a couple tracks that don’t quite share the growling wolf-like tempo as the other 90% of the album, but pacing aside, song for song this mother's definitely a keeper.

Mclusky debuted on wax in the U.K. with 2000's My Pain and Sadness Is More Sad and Painful Than Yours (Fuzzbox). They next signed with Too Pure and hooked up with Steve Albini to produce their sophomore effort. The holdover singles Lightsabre C*********g Blues and To Hell...
