Lennon's comback (and last) album

Lennon wrote his songs in Bermuda very quickly in 1980. The rest were released after his death on Milk and Honey. These are great songs written and produced with care. Yoko's songs are good. Her vocals are better than previous efforts. John's "Woman" rates as one of his best ballads. "I'm Losing You" recalls the Walls and Bridges lost weekend era. "Watching the Wheels" and "Starting over" are classic Lennon works also released as A-sided singles. "Beautiful Boy" is a classic ballad for Sean. "Cleanup Time" tells his state of mind for the 80's.

This was released today an no mention of it, anywhere?

Indispensable Lennon gems

The Lennon songs on this combined with his songs on Milk & Honey would have made a great John Lennon album. It's not my place to question why an artist does what he does. John and Yoko were free to do what they wanted, but a John Lennon fan cannot be expected to simply like Yoko Ono's music.

Where Paul McCartney was content to be a rock star, Lennon dabbled in everything from revolutionary politics to the television talk-show circuit during the early '70s....
