Pure filth

I love this album. They don't seem like they are very talented musically and the lyrics are rotten and offensive. This album continues to make me laugh and I have to remind myself that it is really crude and inconsiderate and I shouldn't be laughing. And then I continue laughing.

Revisionist History

I bought this album in England when it debuted, and have always liked it for its raw energy, not to mention its frank look into the abcesses of the human condition, but I guess that it was actually too depraved for someone, because the lyrics have been changed on at least one of the songs-- Animal. The vinyl goes: I'm an animal, a sexual pervert, I'm an animal, I'm a living abortion, I'm an animal, I'm a child molester" Both the CD anthology, and this iTunes release both replace that with "I'm your next door neighbour". This sort of thing is happening more and more in music and popular culture-- a "dumbing down" of that which was, to re-shape people's perceptions of the past. Buy this and heat the League, then, buy the LP and hear what you've been missing.

Playing standard, raunchy,...
