Customer Reviews

Do not be hesitant about buying this album because of Robbie's voice. You will find yourself eventually liking it, and the performances on this album are perfect. The grooves, Clapton's lead guitar, and Trent's "atmospherics" are terrific, but this is still Robbie's show. His acoustic guitar breaks in "He Don't Live Here No More" and "Tango for Django" are highlights of the album. Please, do not deprive yourself of great music!!!!!

How to Become Clairvoyant

"The demons are out tonight" on this album -- should be ALBUM OF THE YEAR! An amazing collaboration that has been "in the slot" since I first listened in March. Buy it and you will NOT regret it. Robbie -- forever cool -- IS the MAN (who also wrote those great songs for The Band).

Ignore SUFI!

SUFI above says it's not the same guy that wrote the great "Band" tunes. is-just 30 years later! All of his solo work shows his true songwriting genius. From his first solo album, to the incredible "Storyville", his soundtrack work for the PBS Series, "The Native Americans" to his sort of experimental "trip hop" of "Contact From the Underworld of Redboy", there is always something unique and soulful to his songs. Buy this album! Just look at the guests and I promise you won't be disappointed. So glad to see Robbie back in business and as good as ever!
