Editors’ Notes

Hailing from San Diego, Mitchy Slick has been putting out records since just after the millennium. (His debut, Trigeration Station, dropped in 2001.) He's got about a dozen solo joints to his credit, including Mitchy Duz It, Syndicate Mob Stars, and four volumes of the XXL Guns series. In recent years he's kept busy as a member of Strong Arm Steady, slinging rhymes alongside Krondon and Phil Da Agony. Stylistically, he's your basic veteran middle-ground gangsta rapper, rhyming mostly about cooking and selling product ("Crack in a Jar"), assorted criminal affiliations ("Won't Stop Bein a Blood"), and thuggin' it up while living lavish ("Bangin and Ballin"). Lesser-known homies join the fray, including J-Nice, Menace, Meatface, Bigg Tupp, and Lil Fat Bat, while Spider Loc gets busy on the '80s throwback "Out of Bounds." While not extraordinarily unique, Won't Stop is loaded with catchy felonious flows, custom-made for the West Coast.
