Steven Curtis Chapman’s 23rd studio album is his first worship project, but he proves to be a natural. “Who You Say We Are” finds him strumming along to a galloping beat, while the plaintive praise of “God of Forever” is reminiscent of Chapman’s pop tunes. “Amen” is a rousing call to worship, and “We Believe” a sure-footed declaration of faith. Lyrics detail the attributes of God and worshippers’ response to them, with Chapman drawing out the emotion and keeping spirits high.

Steven Curtis Chapman knows the word but more importantly he knows Christ. His songs reflect on his deep knowledge of Christ. Thus, his love for Jesus is the main reflection on the songs. He makes me cry all the time.
