what a find

So glad this is out on something other than the old cassette.... Thurs night, $1 Pabst, and free hot dogs at the Black Cat.... great musicians, great tunes, great times.

Classic Austin

I used to go see these guys every Thursday and Saturday night at the Black Cat back in the day. It was Joe Rockhead (Bob Schneider and Steve Bernal's band) on Tuesday and Friday, Soulhat on Thursday and Saturday, with Little Sister (Patrice Pike's band) playing the first hour, until they took over The Friday slot, if I remember correctly.. Those were some of the most joyous nights of my life. I remember getting to know Paul (R.I.P) and Roberta Sessums, and became pretty good friends with their son Martian (Paul Jr.) for many years. This is exactly what it was like, caputured on a CD. I have been searching for a copy, and here it is. The Black Cat burned to the ground, but the memories remain.

It was outstanding, as is this band and their music. See for yourself.
