The second volume of this monolithic slab picks up where the first left off: busting heads with metal-plated hard rock. On the nastily crunchy opener “Here to Die,” Ivan Moody barks, "This wasn’t meant to be a love song / Matter of fact, this one’s about hate," and that sentiment informs every chugging, roaring, hardcore-infused cut that follows, especially “A Day in My Life” and “Cradle to the Grave.” The latter is a jaw-dropping showcase for ace drummer Jeremy Spencer, who is two parts battering ram and one part hurricane.
