Blast from the Past!

This was an evening of epic proportions. The energy in the room was overwhelming and the band fed off it all night. The show is one of their best performances and well worth the $9.99. When I think back to all the Wu shows I've been to over the years, this show is always one that stands out.

Great 1st Wu show!

My buddy and I were at a lame party in Lacrosse that night, heard about this, drove up and made it just in time. It was awesome, so many good memories and probably saw them 15 or so times after this just because of this show!!

Jam band the Big Wu formed on the campus of St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN in 1992 around the nucleus of singer/guitarist Chris Castino, guitarist Jason Fladager and drummer Terry VanDeWalker. Channeling a wide range of influences including bluegrass, rock, jazz, psychedelia and R&B, the group built a strong local following thanks to a rigorous live schedule, adding bassist Andy Miller in 1995 and keyboardist Al Oikari a year later.
