Personal Concert Experience

If you ever thought about what it would be like if Stephen Bishop ever came to your house to play for you and your friends, this album is the answer (still without Bish actually there of course). These songs are performed with just one or two guitars w/vocals and that's it... A very stripped down, unplugged, intimate listening experience. The album is a great mixture of hits like On And On & Separate Lives along with lesser known (but still strong) album tracks like Wall Around Your Heart, Red Cab To Manhattan & Parked Cars. The album also features several acoustic versions of songs that have only been released as in demo form such as Promise Me The World, Time Stands Still and I Wanna Feel That Way Again. It's a fantastic listen experience for a laid back evening by the fire... Don't believe me? Give it a try.

One of my favorite albums

When I discovered this album on iTunes, I was reluctant to buy it since it features stripped down arrangements of some of this best known tunes, along with some rarely heard songs. However, I listened to the sample of the acoustic version of "Parked Cars", and I discovered I like this version even better than the original studio recording on "Bowling in Paris." Stephen's songwriting is so strong that these uncluttered settings make the songs sparkle. Even though these are simple arrangements, the recording is gorgeous, with great separation between the guitar and voice. It really does sound like he is sitting in the room singing to you.To my knowledge this is the first releases of "Blue Window", a highlight of his amazing career. This album is filled with great tunes. My recommendation: buy it and enjoy!

Brilliant.

Stunning. Beautiful. Lovely. Calming. Stephen's voice is absolutely incredible on this album....It's extremely intimate with just an acoustic guitar on hand and beautiful vocal chords...Every song on it hits you in a different way, all being good. Get this as soon as you can.
