This Album and Artist Deserve So Much More Exposure!

Honestly, I was expecting a boring album so I didn't look into this album initally. My thought was, how can one person with a guitar create an entire album that is interesting enough to warrant my attention, money, and repeat listens? I then heard the song "Orphan's Song" through one of the Worship Circle Podcasts and was instantly hooked by the amazing vocals, lyrics, catchy melody, and creative guitar playing. Eventually I purchased the album and I'm so glad I did. Karla Adolphe really has an anointing on her life and a beautiful gift to offer not just the body of Christ, but the world. The album is far from boring, and it's fun to hear the creative ways Karla utizilizes her lone self in the recordings. She taps her guitar, uses a kick drum (or something of the sort), plays piano, and even does a mouth trumpet in "Beautiful Sound." The mouth trumpet got me laughing, but it almost was her way of saying "This is serious stuff, but it's also a lot of fun. So just relax, smile and soak in the Lord's love." The fact that the recordings are so simple but can stand on their own is mindblowing to me. Karla's voice is amazing, her lyrics draw you to the Lord, her melodies are extremely catchy, and the song arrangements are fresh. I find myself humming so many of the songs to myself throughout the day. Some of my favorite songs are Orphan's Song (the Lord's love for His children), Safe Place (a waltz with the Lord), I Need Love (making His church into a holy city), Can't Thank You Enough (joyful song which can be sung as a congregational worship song), and No Limit (about God's love). It's actually quite hard to choose favorites, as the entire album is great. Overall, I appreciate Karla and the Worship Circle team's heart of worship. They strive to maintain an integrity of worship that goes well beyond the new fad or new sound. They challenge you to touch the Lord with just yourself and your heart. Man, I really wish these guys were my friends! =) At the same time, I know we'll be singing our love songs to Jesus together in eternity. P.S. If you like this album, check out Enter The Worship Circle vol.4, another solid release which Karla was involved in. Also check out Jacob and Lily, Karla's band with Caleb Friesen.

Great Album

I have all of the ETWC albums, and this one continues in their tradition of excellent music. I have grown pretty weary of most Christian music today, but I never seem to get tired of these albums. In this album especially, the mixture of songs with piano, guitar, and her amazing voice won't disappoint. All in all, this is a great album, with great lyrics, music, and vocals.

This volume of Chair and Mic is amazing! The lyrics are truely amazing and annointed! The enter the worship circle group never ceases to amaze me.
