Angelic Meav

I too found Meav on Celtic Woman. Since I purchased this CD I can't stop listening to it. Meav has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard. Every song is a good song. You can't say that about many CD's nowadays. In fact, one song in paricular is so beautiful it always seems to bring a tear to my eye."The Waves Of Tory". Enjoy.

Lady of the Plain ,

This album is from another world. Meav's voice is one of the clearest, most arresting voices I have ever heard. The music takes one back to a time of druids and magick and mystic. She is amazing. Just amazing. Blessings be to her.

Cadet Chief ,

This is a fantastic album.

Don't buy just one or two songs from this album. There are so many hidden gems here.
1: You Brought Me Up--This is a beautiful, sad song of love. In my opinion (I have no facts to back this up) it talks about a mermaid.
2: The Wicked Sister--This song will get stuck in your head. Despite the fact that the premise is sad, the tone is so upbeat that you can't help but say 'wow.' The piano player is excellent.
3: Morning in Bearra--If you are a fan of traditional Irish music, you may recognize the tune as that of Danny Boy.
4: Full Fathom Five--The harmonies are haunting and gorgeous.
5: The Waves of Tory--Very pretty.
6: A Maid in Bedlam--This is my favorite song on the album. You will be singing it all day long. The premise is a young woman whose love has gone to sea and returns to her.
7: The Cradles--Gentle and flowing, like a lullaby
8: Newry Boat Song--Gorgeous
9: Martha's Harbour--"You are an ocean wave, my love, crashing at the bow. I'm a galley slave, my love."
10: The Dark-Haired Girl--Although it is in Gaelic and most people (including me) will not be able to understand it, it has an upbeat melody and is quite impressive
11: Port Na Bpucai--Lovely, but tedious.
12: Silent O Moyle--Mysterious and light.
13: Youkali Tango--I had doubts about this song when i first bought it, but it turned out to be surprisingly melodic, with a mischievous air about it.
