iTunes Review

This New York trio’s eighth album of melodic indie rock is downbeat in its outlook yet musically uplifting. Singer/guitarist Matthew Caws has grown into middle age gracefully, whether he’s rocking out on the short, sharp title track or reflecting on the passing of a relationship and the hope of another on the ringing minor chords of “Believe You’re Mine”. The band’s sinewy rhythm section underpins the sparkling guitars, while warm harmonies add sweetness to these true-to-life tales of growing older and, hopefully, wiser.

Still going these many years!

Love the sound. Merging of Nada sound and today's trend.

Structured songs with beautiful melodies and words that mean something? I understand if you don’t, it’s been several years since a rock band wrote actual great songs. But this group DOES write exceptional music, and this album is under 10 bucks, and I think you should buy it

......and this review comes from a big fan who owns every record and didn't think the last two were necessarily up to their very high standards. The songs grab you tighter with every listen. Animal is a departure with an old and new feel and fantastic melodies. Can't wait to hear these songs LIVE!

After Lorca spent some time abroad in the late '80s, the two reunited after graduation to form Because Because...
