Another solid release.

Another album, another sound. Death Grips proves with this release that they can't be confined sonically or artistically. Not so much a stark contrast from NLDW, as NLDW was to The Money Store, but it still has it's own sound that is unique compared to their other releases. The synths sound as manic as ever, the drumming is fantastic as always, and though their is a significant lack of MC Rides paranoid, and guttural scream-rapping (which I am a huge fan of that style) but when he is present, he sounds just as good as ever, even on
"chill"(in quotes because they aren't your traditional chill, but chil in terms of DG) on tracks like Anne Bonney and Birds. Another solid release from DG, I can't wait to see what's next.

Long live Death Grips

Death Grips will always have a place in my heart<3

DeathGrippin

The first time I listened to this album I thought it was going to be a bust. I liked the first thee tracks a lot, but didn't really understand the repetitiveness of the other songs. Overflow, Violence Now, and Whatever I Want have ended up being my favorites. Give it couple of listens with an open mind. Don't go into this record thinking it's Exmilitary, it isn't, it's different, but great

Despite the album's raging intensity, it became a favorite among critics upon its release. Following a signing to Epic, Death Grips released The Money Store in 2012. The label...
