Shame on iTunes!

Once again, here's another collection of horrible remakes, passing as "originals". What's with this?? Anyone who lived through the era of these songs, or who has a good knowledge of rock history, will know that these versions are all frauds. But -- there are lots of people who will hear these samples and think they ARE the original performances! The sad thing is that these folks will wonder why these songs are considered classics! If all they're exposed to are these tepid remakes, it's no wonder they'd lose respect for these songs and artists. For those of us who know that these tracks are not the "real deal"....well, it's Apple and iTunes which lost my respect for putting these tracks up for sale in the first place.

20 Best of Doo Wop

There should be a zero star rating for oldies compilations like this one which litter the iTunes music store. I had my hopes up once again then sampled a half dozen of these... another sadly disappointing set of great songs done wrong on the ITMS. These are remakes; if you want the original versions, avoid this one.

SICK of remakes

I totally agree with the first two reviewers-- I'm sick of @#$@ remakes of original oldies hits. And it doesn't matter that they're by the original artists, they're still not the original recordings. I find that I have to click on the songs to listen to them to make sure they're the original recordings. It's annoying and time consuming to have to do that.
