its not about the lyrics

I've read so many comments that people have written. They say the lyrics are stupid, or too repetitive, or just bad. But the song is great. People need to realize that its not just about the lyrics...its how the music touches you, moves you, and makes you feel. Rock and Roll Queen really touches me and so do many other songs that people say have stupid lyrics. Don't just listen to the lyrics...feel the music. Remember that,

Awesome New Band!

I am always on the look out for new bands and new music; when I heard the single 'Rock and Roll Queen' on an Indie station, I added the Subways to my favorite new music list and eagerly waited for their album. After hearing the whole album I have to say that it is awesome! They rock and do great mellow songs too. I haven't stopped listening to this album since I got it. My friend and I purchased tickets to go see their show in San Diego and we can't wait. If you like Jet, The Vines or The Strokes you will like the Subways. Definitely check out 'Oh Yeah' and 'She Sun' to hear both sides of their music.

The hype is justified

It's not often that a band's first album can be described as the "dogs bollocks" - loosely translated bloody great. This album has something for everyone to enjoy, from your aunt Lilly to the punk kid next door. This talented 3some have managed to mesh multiple genres into one album and pull it off amazingly. Like any great album it needs several good listens, but you won't be disappointed.

British music is definately on a high right now and that high starts with The Subways.
