Reseña de álbum

These uninspired punk thrashings, produced by White Heart's Billy Smiley, quickly get tedious. But "Man in Black," a duet with (believe it or not) Johnny Cash, shows the exact spot where punk and Christianity intersect. And Cash comes off as a more committed punk than anybody in the band.

Yes that is Johnny Cash singing

I can't believe that Johnny Cash sang on this album, but he did. The man in black himself lends his signature voice in a remake of his classic song "Man In Black." However, my favorite songs are still "You're a Pagan, " "Bird Nest," and "For a Good Man." A must have for your classic Christian rock collection. These guys were ground breakers in their day and the album still sounds great today.

Hey Gabe! quit whinning!

Hey Gabriel, quit being such a whiner! The reason you don`t like the lyrics is b/c when you were younger you were not as politically correct as most people are now. You have to read into the humor of the band as they confess what they believe. If Christianity is not what you believe, then why does it bother you? I assume that you are ok with the other 99% of what other post-modern world view crap that other bands spew...why would this band bother you? If what you believe doesn`t offend anyone, then it`s not worth believing!

This is a great classic cd from a band that had the balls to say something that matters. If you have Jesus you have life. If you don`t have Jesus you don`t have life. Your problem is not with this band(which I LOVE)...your problem is with the Bible. I am sorry to go off on this review, but it really get`s under my skin when people pretend that a band who sold very little music(comparitively) bothers them when there are TONS of multi-million dollar bands vomiting out lame lyrics with no truth or integrity about anything!

One bad pig!...we need bands with a real message again!!! God Bless!

The most anointed worthip album EVER!

Man you can just feel the Spirit of God all over this album. FIRE! Whoo Hoo Jesus rocks!

Fecha de formación: Austin, TX, 1985

Género: Alternativa

Años de actividad: '80s, '90s

This punk quartet started as a lark for a youth rally in the band's Austin, TX, hometown. The positive reception led to a relatively long career, but the members of the band seemed to understand neither punk's culture nor its philosophy and ended up, depending...
