Overall, a good album and worth the purchase

Old House, She Could Be the One (fantastic female vocal performance in the chorus), and You Don't Have to be the Sun are the standouts for me. All others are pretty solid tunes, with great drumming in particular, but Nik's stretch to the higher notes gets a little much at times, and as an American, I certainly don't like it when artists from other countries bash my President (Loud, Confident & Wrong). That being said, if you're a Nik Kershaw fan, it's a must buy, and if you're not, it's still worth the $10 purchase price.

Great Nik!!

I love Nik Kershaw, always have. This album may take a few listens, but well worth it in the end. As someone said to me recently, "he's just so listenable." I would agree. Beautiful, funny, harsh and sad - he encompasses the full range. Give it a chance and find yourself entranced by a great artist. You'll be listening to this album throughout the year.

Infectious, Sweet and Brilliant

Well Nik, this is the one. The one we've been waiting for! Beautiful lyrics, uplifting melodies and choruses that are so infectious I needed bacitracin to stop it from spreading to my face and making me smile. I really did smile and then I laughed when I heard "I hope your happy now". I really loved your eightees stuff but this has no date stamp, it's all relevant, contemporary and still has that little bit of gloss in the production. Just enough gloss to make it sonically interesting, but never too sugar-coated and Pro-Tooled to death. "Easy" was my favorite song by you 25 years ago, but it's not on Itunes and it drives me crazy that I can't get it here! Hopefully, we'll see it soon...In the meantime.."Yeah, Yeah" will satisfy me! Brilliant, keep it up! BUT THIS ALBUM NOW!!!

During the mid-'80s, Nik Kershaw managed to score a handful of pop hits and, in doing so, establish himself as a profitable commercial songwriter. Kershaw began his musical career by learning to play guitar when he was a teenager. In 1974, he joined his first band, Half Pint Hogg, which played nothing but Deep Purple covers. However, his musical ideas were not limited to heavy metal; after he left school, he joined a jazz-funk band called Fusion. Fusion released one album, 'Til I Hear From You, in...
