This soundtrack to the concert film of the same name captures David Bowie's epic last performance with The Spiders from Mars. More than just a backup band, the Spiders had an amazing, frenetic musical chemistry with Bowie—especially on stage. Just listen to the kinetic drive they bring to a swaggering "Hang on to Yourself," their swelling, atmospheric background vocals on “Time,” or their blistering, proto-punk intensity on The Velvet Underground's "White Light/White Heat" and you'll know just what we mean.

The band is astounding on this album with Ronson’s liquid guitar like lighting and Bowie sings his songs in a punchier, faster way than on the studio albums. Truly great. They will be missed...
