This Is The Best Band Ever

I have been waiting for this CD to come out since the first time i heard Zombies Ate My Neighbors. It also has a bunch of other great songs. GO SINGLE FILE

Don't buy this in stores, or perhaps at all.

First off, let me say that the CD version of No More Sad Face only has 4 songs on it. Unless you're a huge fan of plastic jewel cases, buy this album from Itunes, where you get 8 songs for the same price. Like everyone else, I heard this band all the time on the radio, and I loved their songwriting and fresh sound. I checked stores day after day for this album, but to no avail. Finally, I heard the radio ads for No More Sad Face and the day it came out, I bought it. Many people who own this EP (who aren't close friends of the band, of course) understand why I'm dissapointed. The songs we loved hearing on the radio are not the same songs you find here. The thing a lot of people found charming about this band was their raw, almost under-produced sound, and their unique arrangements. In the studio, it's easy to start adding parts and changing songs on the fly, and I'm just sorry to see that happen to a band as good as Single File. What you get on this album are great songs re-made to be substantially worse. "Zombies", the biggest upset, has been changed to a more mediocre sound, and is filled with bad back-up vocals that nobody asked for. The dynamics of some parts were changed to feel out of place, and some really great parts were just plain omitted. Do yourself a favor and wait until the good versions of these songs come out, maybe on a full length album.

No Regrets...

I've been a Single File fan for a while after hearing "Zombies Ate My Neighbors" hundreds of times on the radio. I finally got to see them live at the Vans Warped Tour, and they didn't dissappoint!!! These guys are extremely talented, their lyrics will get stuck in your head for days!!! Have to say that my faves off this EP are "Zombies At My Neighbors" if you live in Colorado you can definitly pick out references in there, also "Velco" is one of those songs that you can relate to, I love "Look at me I'm crying" it sounds like its gonna be sad but is actually a really up beat song, "My best defense" is simply amazing. Buy this EP you will not be dissapointed!!! And if you like the EP go see them in concert!!! Amazing Band to see live!!!
