Still needs work, but pretty great.

I started out with the 5k version and absolutely loved it. It was flawless. As soon as I was hooked, I purchased the 10k version before I even mastered the 5k. This app does, unfortunately, have flaws. I have experienced issues with the voice prompts in several updates - sometimes the timer will stop running, other times there will be no voice prompt to run or walk. With the current update, I want to say it has improved, but it still doesn't work as well as the 5k app did for me. It seems this app has trouble running when the phone is locked or the app is in the background. Overall a great app, but I hope this gets fixed soon since a major feature of the app is the voice guides.

Ok for a free app, but timer issues

Ads are moderately annoying with use, but not terrible or unexpected from a free app. However, I've been suspicious of and just confirmed timer issues in this version--when playing music and running the app in the background when locked, it runs very slowly. I set the built-in stopwatch and found at the end of the prescribed time by the app, I had 10 minutes supposedly still remaining. I.e. the app would have me run at least 10 more minutes.

The voice prompts are mostly good, but now at longer running intervals they sometimes don't work. But once you're past the run-walk-run cycle they're less critical than correct time.

On a positive note, thanks ZenLabs for getting us extra-fit by running for more time. 😉

Got Me Off of the Couch

Love, love, LOVE these apps. I started with the C25K, and knew, as soon as I started, that these were the programs for me. I'm NOT a runner, in fact, I can be quoted as saying (repeatedly): "If you ever see ME running, you'd better run too, because there's something chasing me!".

Not any more. Zen Labs' apps have made a runner out of me, and that's saying something. Not only that, but now, at 53 years ild, I have set my sights and my goal on running a full marathon, by the time I am 60! I've already downloaded the half- and full-marathon apps.

If you're a couch potato, like I was, give it a shot - I bet you won't regret it!!
